DVDs are also produced in either PAL or NTSC. PAL discs must be played in a PAL-compatible unit and NTSC discs must be played in an NTSC- compatible unit. While some players play both PAL and NTSC, it is always advisable to prepare your product in the correct standard for the appropriate country.
